Anticipation

Jess and I went shopping last night for the trip. I did not realize how little traveling I had done until I started trying to find travel supplies around my house, there were none. We got most of what we needed and had a lot of fun doing so.
I am so excited about what this trip will hold, yet nervous at the same time. It is hard to anticipate what it will be like there, but I suppose it is something that you have to experience. They are so different from us, yet their utmost desire is the same, love. That is the one thing that holds us all together even when we don't agree about fashion or food. This connecting factor makes the differing culture seem not so scary.
As we go into Thailand, the old saying "You are the only Bible they may ever read" holds true even more so than here in America. For this reason, I pray that my words, thoughts and actions will reflect Jesus, his love and his desire to see the nations come to know Him.
"Lord let me shine, shine like the moon, a reflection of you, in all that I do."

Sybil,
Now that you all of your travel supplies are you ready? It is okay to be nervous about this it is very normal. My first mission trip that was excitement, fear and many other things going on but after arriving there I was overwhelmed by God's love through the people I went to minister too. God has got some awesome plans so look foward to hearing how it will bring Him glory!
