Finally...
So, you already know we're here thanks to everyone else's posts!! Yay!! Can I just say- that was a loooooong trip!! But worth it! We made it with no problems and all our luggage, and I'm grateful for that.
Today we get to take it easy, adjusting to the culture and the heat. Our initiation will be an elephant ride this afternoon! I'm kind of looking forward to that!!
I dove right in and went for the Thai breakfast (instead of eggs & french toast)... fried rice, some kind of beef & onions, chicken stir-fry of some sort. Nothing unlike what you'd find in a Chinese restaurant at home. The coconut milk wasn't that extraordinary, but the pineapple just hit the spot! And I'm excited to be back in a country that sells Coke Lite (as opposed to the normal american diet coke!)
Pray for us... pray that we'll have stomachs of steel, restful nights, energy for the extremely hot days, hearts and minds of Jesus. Pray that the glory of the Lord would emanate from us in a way that people can't help but notice. Pray that we'll see things through God's eyes. Pray for us, that whenever we open our mouths, words may be given us so that we will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel for which we are ambassadors in chains. Pray that we will declare it fearlessly, as we should! (ephesians 6:19-20)
We love ya'll, and are thankful to have you on our team!!!

Can't believe you are writing about coconut and pineapple on your first day. They are fruit! You've come a long way baby. Glad the trip was good. Know this will be an awesome week. Will be thinking and praying for ya'll. Love you and God bless. Mom
The phone call you "entrusted" me to make was successful. Looks like ya'll had a fun day. Nanny wanted to know how you got up on that elephant. Thanks, Doug, for the pictures. Hope that your body clocks are adjusting to the time difference and no jet lag. We are still trying to catch up with daylight savings time here.
So glad you made it and all are adjusting. I forwarded Craig's email to the leadership team and the committee and told them about the blog. I think I like blogs! They seem to be a great way to find out about what is going on! I hope your Monday has been GREAT!
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I'm glad that everything is going well so far and you guys are very excited! I miss you all and am praying that God is going to do amazing things in your lives and in the lives of the Thai people! Love you!
