The Sharpest Knives

last night we were about to go to another market to hand out literature, and Doug was asked to pray for us. As he started I had the thought of praying along these lines: 'Lord, we may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but we are here, so please use us, and give us power to accomplish your work...' I occured to me as soon as I thought this that our Thai hosts actually are the 'sharpest knives in the drawer'. I have known in my life many good hearted believers who do well and try to live out the gospel and be who God created them to be, and I see myself in this light, but also in my life I have known maybe five people who seem to be completely unconcerned with themselves and completely focused on Jesus and on serving him. Our hosts here, a husband and wife named Saeng and Moliwan, pastor this church in Pattaya, and they are these kind of people. Pray for them please. They are inspirational and one of the best things for us about this trip is being able to meet them and watch them as they relate to their church and to all the people they meet.
Pray that we will be sharpened by being with them.
